Title: VP Investor Relations
Position Description:
Manage the strategic planning, on-going development and coordination of all investor relation activities to broaden and increase the shareholder value and enhance the company image with the investment community, including cultivating relationships with investors and analysts covering the company. Develops overall investor relations strategies, policies and procedures. Develops investor relations communications and serves as primary point of contact for investor issues, including acting as spokesperson to the financial community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops, maintains and serves as company's primary point-of-contact to analysts, shareholders, institutional investors and prospective investors. Responds to questions from shareholders and vendors.
- Develops strategies and implements programs to keep the financial community current on company performance and industry trends.
- Directs and coordinates investor relations communications and publications, including quarterly earnings conference calls, the annual report, annual shareholder meeting materials, speeches and Web site content, and reports to the Board of Directors. Provides counsel and guidance in the area of financial media relations, focusing on the continued goal of quality coverage.
- Organizes the quarterly earnings calls. Coordinates quarterly earnings call briefing binders, including competitor information, company ownership data, and potential questions and responses. Consults with vendor to facilitate calls and webcasts. Posts related information on public Web site.
- Participates in the review of quarterly and annual SEC reports. Monitors changes in SEC regulations or other legal precedents to ensure a "best practice" approach to investor communications.
- Writes and disseminates all financial-related press releases, including NASDAQ, investor email and fax lists, and financial and business press. Works with vendor to manage investor email and fax lists.
- Prepares briefing materials for executives on prospective investors and arranges all investor and analyst meetings/visits. Prepares presentation materials. Provides consultative direction to executive management as it relates to the investor audience. Directs the preparation of briefing packets.
- Serve as communications consultant to executive management on investor relations matters. Develops and implements communications and issues management strategies that impact company shareholders. Coordinates communications with Strategic Marketing Department.
- Manages content on the Investor Relations section of company's public Web site and works with vendor to ensure timely publication/updates. Responds to email contacts from public Web site.
- Directs and organizes the annual shareholders' meeting, including rehearsals, ensuring all aspects of the event are coordinated and well executed.
- Provides quarterly assessment of company's investor outreach programs and recommends improvements.
- Leads special projects as directed.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to make effective presentations. Strong organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under conflicting deadlines and changing priorities. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to present and simplify complex financial data to varied audiences. Ability to interact with all levels, including investors, analysts, executive management and board members. Ability to work with confidential information. Ability to understand and interpret relevant data. Ability to operate a computer and related software.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in finance, public relations or related field required. MBA preferred. Ten years experience in public relations, marketing, corporate communications, finance or related experience, required. Working knowledge of financial markets required. Working knowledge of insurance industry, including business operations and terminology, preferred. Certificate in investor relations preferred. Working knowledge of print and electronic media, including internet/intranet systems and capabilities required. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software required. Working knowledge of project planning, diagramming, corporate intelligence, financial research and search engine software preferred. Occasional overnight travel required.

Title: Investor Relations Analyst
Location: Valley Forge PA US
Position Description:
Under general direction of the Vice President, Corporate & Investor Relations, the Investor Relations Analyst performs various financial and other news and data analyses in support of the Corporate and Investor Relations function. This role provides reporting and support to ensure senior management is aware of stock market and news trends that may impact our business, and assists with the preparation of responses to external inquiries from shareholders, reporters, and other interested parties.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors security analysts' research and earnings estimates, relative stock price movements, and periodic ownership analysis and supports the monitoring of trading data.
- Assists in the creation of publications, presentations and electronic media used in the IR program. Performs the data collection, analysis, writing, editing, and production of those materials in collaboration with the Vice President, Corporate & Investor Relations.
- Collaborates with the Vice President, Corporate & Investor Relations and other internal stakeholders in creating the company's external messages and in ensuring that all company communications are integrated and consistent.
- Participates in crisis communication preparedness initiatives, including data collection and analysis, drafting, editing, and support.
- Collaborates with the Vice President, Corporate & Investor Relations on the IR website section and content, including the archive of historical information.
- Assists with news media inquiries, interview preparation, and tracking of news coverage of the Company and its competitors.
- Collaborates with Vice President, Corporate & Investor Relations in creating and updating IR presentations and other senior management presentations.
- Supports annual Investor Day and Shareholder Meeting logistics and presentations.
- Supports logistics and presentations for IR conferences and road shows, investor tours and meetings, and conference calls.
- Supports external public relations firms of record, data providers, and other external vendors.
- Remains current on economic, political, regulatory, industry, and stock market outlook and trends.
- Understands in depth the company's leaders, culture, strategies, operating units, services and customers.
- Collaborates with the Vice President, Corporate & Investor Relations on the continuous upgrade of computer and software skills, as well as use of outside services, to benefit from technology leverage.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
Experience and Education Requirements:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, equity and debt investing, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program or equivalent combination of experience and education; normally requires four (4) years of experience in a public company, preferably in finance, marketing, planning or development, or corporate communication positions demonstrating progressively responsible experience. - Outstanding financial and investment analysis skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability.
- Must demonstrate good judgment, discretion and respect for confidentiality, exceptional writing, analytical, and project management skills.
- An in-depth understanding of the financial and investment markets and the ability to adapt quickly to changes.
- A good understanding of strategic communication, public relations, marketing, advertising, and the media.
- Strong interpersonal skills, superior intellect, and an outstanding ability to communicate using these qualities and skills.
- An energetic, efficient, and resourceful team player and individual contributor.
- Exceptional computer skills, particularly with databases, and especially in PowerPoint and Excel.
